Sellwood

We cross the Sellwood every day on our way to work. In the winter we drive it, and the traffic is heavy and slow. In the summer we often ride our bikes. There is one sidewalk for both directions, and the bike access is tricky.
Park Place

The Park Place bridge is now a pedestrian/bike bridge at Cross Park in Gladstone, crosing the Clackamas river. Providing access to Oregon City. Owned by Clackamas County Service District 1, it also holds the diversion sewer pipeline between the North Clackamas sewer system and the Tri-City sewage treatment plant.
August 14, 2007 a brush fire has damaged the south span, and has been closed for evaluation and repair.

Sauvie Island sauvie

The new bridge construction has begun. The Sauvie Island website seems to be providing updated information. The island is a popular bike destination, although we have never felt comfortable riding on the shoulderless roads. I am anxious to track down information regarding the bicycle access for this new structure. Biking down Front Ave, I spotted the new Sauvie Island span, being built at the Port of Portland Terminal 2.

This one is special in that my Grandfather worked on its construction. You can bike it on the roadway or on the sidewalk.
